Expert: Metro Manila Is Queen (or King) of the BPO World

According to the report published in The Philippine Inquirer, Metro Manila is now the biggest hub for BPO export industry, employing the most number of employees than any other city in the world. And in terms of BPO growth, Metro Manila has simply outperformed most cities, if not all, worldwide.

Mitra also added in the same report that the ICT industry can be divided into five distinct sectors:

  1. Telecommunications
  2. Broadcasting and media
  3. Electronics manufacturing
  4. IT software
  5. Voice and non-voice BPO services

These are the sectors that need some nurturing to further increase their growth and value, capture more market share, and create more jobs for a lot of people.
